Sovereign AI

AI that stays in your country.

Residency, local law, and dependency are part of the architecture. A system in your cloud is not sovereign if the model, the region, or the contract sits where you cannot enforce it.

What sovereignty covers

Residency

Data, models, and operations sit in the jurisdiction you name. Location is a design decision, not a setting someone can change later.

Local law

The design is checked against the laws and internal rules you must meet. Compliance is not a paragraph added after the pilot.

Dependency

Foreign models, regions, and vendors are named. What does not belong in the path is reduced, not hidden inside a platform.

Private is not the same question

Private AI keeps a system in your environment. Sovereign AI asks a further question: which country, which law, and which dependency. WebKets does both. This page is the second question.

We map where the data rests, where the model runs, and which contract you can actually enforce. What must stay in your country is designed that way. It is not assumed because the invoice has your name on it.

If you cannot say where it runs, it is not sovereign yet.

Where the decision sits

Where data rests

Storage, backups, and logs have a country. A copy in another region is still a residency decision, even if nobody meant to make one.

Where the model runs

A prompt that leaves for a foreign endpoint is not a local system. The model location is part of the architecture, not a network detail.

Which contract holds

Sovereignty fails on paper you cannot enforce. We look at who can change region, retain data, or require a foreign process.

When Sovereign AI is the right choice

Someone will ask where it runs

A board, a regulator, a customer, or an auditor. You need a map, not a sentence that says the vendor is compliant.

The data and the model differ

Your records are in one country and the model answers from another. That gap is the work, even if the product feels local.

A foreign vendor is in the path

A foreign model can still be a choice. It cannot be an accident. The dependency has to be named, limited, and owned.

You need a position you can defend

Not a hope that the region setting stays put. A written position: what is sovereign, what is not, and why that is acceptable.

What the work includes

Map residency

We trace data, models, backups, logs, and operators to a place. The map shows the country of each, not the marketing region.

  • Where data rests, including copies
  • Where inference and training run
  • Where logs and backups sit
  • Who can reach the system, and from where

Align the design

The architecture is checked against the laws and internal rules you must meet before a build treats them as optional.

  • The rules that apply to this data
  • Gaps between the design and those rules
  • Changes required before go-live
  • A record of what was accepted

Reduce dependency

Foreign models, regions, and vendors stay only where you choose them. The rest comes out of the path.

  • Dependencies called out by name
  • Which ones must leave
  • Which ones may stay, and why
  • A position you can explain
